During COVID 19 lockdown my son Tyler asked me to help show him how to make a small kitchen knife. The knife blade is about 100mm (4"). Made from 01 carbon steel, stock removal style and the handle is Paduak, Ebony and horn. The blade was dipped into household white vinegar to give it a patina. It is a great little pairing knife.
I think he did a great job.
It's enjoyable passing on skills, in the hope that others will get as much enjoyment as I do from making their own tool, knives etc. It's also a way to for my legacy to lives on.
