Here is work in progress. I am processing this batch of knives for my own use and for orders. There is a combination of stock removal and forged knives here, plus a couple of old school gun smiths screwdriver blades and two carving chisels. There is also a mixture of carbon steels, o1 and old files. While most were heat treated in the gas forge and tempered in the oven, the forge knife was tempered using old school technology, where a red hot bar is held against the spine of the knife and this lets the colours run to what I wanted in the temper. You can see the tan on the cutting edge which will give a good hard but not brittle cutting edge and the softer blues on the spine for strength and more flexibility.
